DR Congo President, Félix Tshisekedi has announced that all players and staff of the national team will receive brand new Jeep cars, money and huge plots of land following their historic qualification for the 2026 FIFA World Cup.

In recognition of the team's remarkable achievement after securing a World Cup spot for the first time in 52 years, the Congolese leader revealed that all players and technical staff will be duly rewarded by the State.

The announcement has sparked widespread celebration across Democratic Republic of the Congo, where fans have hailed both the team's success and the President's gesture as a fitting reward for a milestone achievement.

The qualification marks a historic moment for Congolese football, ending decades and reigniting national pride.

President Tshisekedi praised the players for their dedication and resilience throughout the qualifying campaign, describing their achievement as a symbol of hope and inspiration for the nation.

"This is more than football; it is a victory for the entire country," he reportedly stated.

The generous incentives are expected to further motivate the squad as they prepare to represent the nation on the world's biggest football stage.
