Giannis Joins LeBron in Elite Scoring Club After Hitting 21,000 Career Points

Giannis Antetokounmpo continues to cement his superstar legacy, becoming the sixth-youngest player in NBA history to reach 21,000 career points.

The milestone came during the Milwaukee Bucks’ 116–99 victory over the Brooklyn Nets on November 30.

The Greek Freak now joins an exclusive list that includes LeBron James, Wilt Chamberlain, Kobe Bryant, Kevin Durant, and Michael Jordan — a testament to his dominance throughout his career.

Giannis marked the moment with a simple but powerful reaction on Instagram, posting just two emojis to summarize the achievement. The 30-year-old finished the game with 29 points and eight rebounds, helping the Bucks snap a seven-game losing streak and move to 9–12 on the season.

He crossed the 21,000 mark with a third-quarter three-pointer and now sits 42nd on the NBA’s all-time scoring list with 21,002 points.

Carrying the Bucks Through a Tough Start

Despite the team’s struggles, Giannis has been performing at an MVP level this season, averaging 31.1 points, 11.1 rebounds, and 6.9 assists per game.

But after the Bucks’ early-season slump, Giannis didn’t hold back — calling on his teammates to elevate their effort and focus.

He stressed the importance of doing “the little things” rather than forcing offense:

“That’s not how you win games. That’s not how you build culture,” he said, urging the team to stay locked in defensively and mentally.

Giannis made those comments shortly after returning from a four-game absence due to a groin injury.

Up next, the Bucks look to continue building momentum as they face the Washington Wizards on Monday.
