Ghana's Daniel Agyei struck inside five minutes to power Kocaelispor to a commanding 2-0 away win over Eyupspor in the Turkish Super Lig.
Ghanaian forward Daniel Agyei made an instant impact in the Turkish Super Lig, scoring after just five minutes to set Kocaelispor on the way to a 2-0 away victory over Eyupspor at Recep Tayyip Erdogan Stadium.
The opener came from sharp predatory instincts. Mahamadou Susoho's initial effort was kept out by Eyupspor goalkeeper Ivo Grbic, but Agyei was first to react inside the box and tucked home the rebound to give the visitors the early lead.
Kocaelispor kept up the pressure and doubled their advantage in the 28th minute. Berkan Kutlu finished off a slick move involving Makana Baku and Rigoberto Rivas, handing the visitors a comfortable cushion heading into the break.
Eyupspor pushed to get back into the contest after the restart, but Kocaelispor stayed organised and disciplined at the back to protect their lead. Agyei nearly added a second of his own in the 68th minute, though the goalkeeper stood firm to deny him.
The Ghana forward now has two goals in 11 appearances for Kocaelispor this season. He is yet to register an assist, but with the three points secured, this was a statement away win.
